McGill University Scholarships and Student Aid

McGill University has a variety of scholarship programs depending on your educational level, all newly admitted first-year undergraduate students seeking a first degree have access to two different financial assistance programs provided by McGill’s Scholarships & Student Aid while post-graduate students have similar options also.

Academic excellence is the foundation of their merit-based Entrance Scholarship Programme, which is available to high school and CEGEP students starting a full-time undergraduate degree program.

Over 2,200 students, including those from the US and abroad, were awarded over $7 million in one-year and renewable entrance scholarships by our Scholarships Office during our most recent admission cycle.

Students from low- to modest-income households who might not otherwise be able to accept their offer of admission are assisted by our need-based Entrance Bursary Programme.

Their Student Aid Office provided 619 newly admitted undergraduate students with financial need with entrance bursaries—non-repayable awards—worth $7.1 million during our most recent admission cycle.
